Schedule your walks, make it a priority.
Think of your walks as a chance to get out and be a part of your natural surroundings.
A pedometer may be helpful to motivate you as you can see how many steps you are taking and can increase your steps each time you walk.
Find a committed partner to walk with, walking can be very enjoyable when you have a friend to talk to, you will barely notice that you are exercising.
Remove the words can't and never from your vocabulary.
Walk for you, don't compare yourself with others who may be at a higher level, you will get there.
Expect that some days you will feel more energetic than others, and remember that a short or easy walk is better than no walk at all.
