Who The Hell Is Coach Carvey?
A.K.A. Dana Carvey's Brother
Who is Coach Carvey you ask? None of your business! Oh actually it is your business. My name is Scott Carvey.
My other name is Dana Carvey's Brother. Why is this important? Because many of you feel you know Dana through his work and find him likeable and entertaining.
Now imagine his older brother Scott who taught him everything he knows. Are you imagining this? Wow! You have a great capacity for B.S.
I am double nickels. Yup 55 and have been running virtually injury free for 43 years.
I ran age group track when I was twelve, cross country and track all four years of high school, two years of track and cross country at junior college, one year at University of Montana, and have been running and competing in road races since I got out of college in 1974.
My Personal Bests:
High School 4:30 mile 9:38 2-mile
College 4:22 mile 9:26 2-mile
Masters comp.(40-50) 16:33 5k 1:16 1/2 marathon
50-55 Just enjoying running 3-4 times a week, with a goal of not getting injured.
I'm a contributing writer for Running Free!!!
It's a miracle!! Someone was crazy enough... I mean smart enough to ask me, Coach Carvey to write a monthly piece for their running magazine.
Hey that's me running
Julia Buckley, the editor for "Running Free" a British publication, found me while surfing the net.
When she asked me to join her staff of writers I was stunned.
I asked her if she had any mental illness in her family history.
Anyway it's a great magazine and with me on board can the Pulitzer Prize be far behind???
I'm starting to like this running thing and think I might stick with it! And you will like it too! So now you know the whole story.
My other love, besides my wife of course, is my guitar. The life style of a musician doesn't exactly go very well with running as you can imagine. Runnng is still #1.
I also REALLY like beer!
I live in Connecticut
with my wife Lorelie and our son Chad. Lorelie is a former natural bodybuilding champion a
fitness coach,
and a former pastry chef.
Some would call her pure evil go here to read about her evil doings!!!
Lorelie is my partner in building this
fabulous website!
Actually it was kind of her idea, but we won't go there...
For Dana Carvey Fans
The first question that people usually ask me when they find out that I have a famous comedian brother is, "is he a nice guy?" The answer is a huge "YES." Dana is the greatest brother anyone could possibly have. He is extremely generous and a wonderful person and my best friend.
But, I do have other brothers and sisters, and they are ALL funny and nice.
So here it is - the latest and the greatest family picture in Montana, of my brothers, Dana(to the left), Mark(center), Brad(the bearded one) and my sister Lori(right behind me). Oh and my cousin Jay to the far right - who is like a brother. You can ignore all of the significant others...and the fact that we are eating ice cream!!
The Perks!
Of course having a famous brother does have it's perks...Hanging out with Todd Rundgren is one of them.
Saturday Night Live after show parties is another.
And my favorite...The Private Jets to Las Vegas!
Well thanks for visiting my website. Please feel free to send me or Mrs. Coach Carvey an email from our contact page. Tell us what is on your mind or if we can help in some way.
Browse around and have fun...
