How I Found Running Fun Again!

I used to have a burning passion for running back in those days when I was younger. That fire and appreciation for hard work helped propel me to some personally significant heights in what turned out to be a modest career competing on the shores of America and in my native continent Europe.
However, once running began paying some of the bills and turned into a job, the joy of truly being free began to be replaced with the chore of obligation to sponsor. It didn't take long for me to lose my desire and passion for running once training became something I had to do rather than something I enjoyed doing.
Once my career began to wind down, I took time away from the sport of track for a short while in an effort to rediscover what it was that got me interested in the first place.
After a period of reflection, I realized that what truly was unique in my experiences when this sport was at it's absolute highest peak in my life was the person leading the workouts, my coach/trainer. He was a true treasure in making sport just that-an opportunity to hang out with other people, exercise for fun and achieve a few personal goals along the way.
