Running Medals

Running Medals are fun to have. Carvey explains how he shared his running awards with a fellow runner who had some truly bad luck! And a link to our favorite place to get those plaques, medals and award.

The Story of The Missing Running Medal

Well, well, well look at all the medals! Someone's been spending quite a bit of time on the awards podium. Who could it be? Could it be Coach Carvey!

Oh, excuse me I have a question here from one of my site visitors...

"Hey Coach, how come most of the Medals are an ugly brown color?" Well my dear visitor let me say this...... . . .ahh...Shut up.

At least one of those medals is gold. In high school the team I was a part of were national champions. Ha ha.

Notice that there appears to be one medal missing.

Well a couple of years ago I heard from a friend who was in this track meet in California, the same one I was in years earlier. He was leading the race on the last lap. His father was in the main grandstands. On the infield was an additional grandstand that blocked the view of the runners on the back stretch.

So my friend is on his way to a certain Gold Medal at the El Cerrito Relays when he dissapears behind the bleachers. He drops his baton, when he emerges again he is now in last place-no medal.

I thought this was really bad luck and as you can see I have soooo many medals that I sent him one of mine. Yep-im a giver!
